Bristol-born street artist Banksy’s stencils were discovered in the French capital, Paris, on June 20th, 2018, on the World Refugee Day organaized by the United Nation.
A few days later, Banksy posted a series of art works, including stencils dropped in Paris, on his Instagram account, clarifying that they were his own.

✔︎ Napoleon Crossing the Alps
The graffiti is painted on the walls of public housing where many immigrants living.
A leader wearing a veil and riding a horse has no foresight.
Does this criticize Emmanuel Macron, the French leader who takes a direction of the French immigration policy?
Banksy’s stencil is a tribute to Napoleon’s 1801 painting by Jack Louis David.
In front of the mural, immigrant kids are playing happily.
This work can also be confirmed in Street View.
I strongly recommend seeing this real Banksy artwork.
■ Pont de Grenelle Paris 75016 metro⑩Charles Michels/Mirabeau【Banksy Rats with umbrella】
✔︎Banksy Rats with umbrella and Eiffel tower
As if a couple of rats with an umbrella is looking at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Banksy dropped a couple of rats with umbrellas at a scenic spot overlooking the Eiffel Tower, a short walk down from the Grenelle Bridge along the river.
Today nobody’s there except cars passing by.
The wall has been painted, the tail of rats drawn by Banksy can be seen from the unpainted area.
■ 2 Rue Victor Cousin Paris 75005 metro⑩Cluny La Sorbonne【Banksy dog with businessman】
✔︎Dog and businessman in front of the Sorbonne University
Banksy’s stencil on the wall in front of the Sorbonne University, where it was a center of the May 1968 revolution in Paris.
Does Banksy criticise the educational institutions?
This Banksy’s stencil was painted on the wall of the hotel in front of the Sorbonne University in Paris.
(I also learned at this school building during my university years…)
A plexiglass installed on the hotel walls for protection of art work, had already been removed.
A man is trying to give a bone, a sawed dog’s forefoot, to a dog bleeding from a bandaged foot.
Does this stencil remind you of a microcosm of capitalist society that shows the relationship between capitalists and workers?
Currently, the walls was painted in white and covered with propaganda posters.
Maybe the owner of this hotel, the owner of this wall, painted it in fear that the wall would be stolen or distructed.

‘Ribbon Mouse and the May 1968″ was drawn behind the restaurant on “Place de Mobert”, near Notre Dame and the Latin Quarter.
There is a morning market, a place where the medieval bread market in the 16th century, was a place where 60 Protestants were burned alive.
In May 1968, Paris uprising started from the Sorbonne University, the birthplace of the ‘May 1968’, spread across the country
This ‘Ribbon Ratè”xwx and the May Revolution’ << Mai 1968 >> is not posted on Banksy’s official website or Instagram, but it is probably the real thing.
This artwork has a really unique atmosphere.
Another ‘Ribbon Rat posted on Banksy’s Instagram, Mai 1968, has been erased, but this one is still alive here.

Here is a “champagne bottle” painted on the wall of a restaurant in the Marais district, Paris. A rat has been disappeared.
This work almost reverses the stencil left at the foot of Montmartre, but details such as label, it has more details than those of Montmartre.
This work is not posted on Banksy’s Instagram or on the official website, but it can be authentic because it is painted on the wall of an Israeli restaurant in the Jewish Quarter of Paris.
